All about task lighting

Task Lighting is an important lighting element in any home or office setting. For one, it covers illuminating needs for areas that are otherwise not covered by ambient lighting. At the same time, it also offers a design feature that can accentuate a certain area in a home.

Lightology.com explains how task lighting works, its different types, and enumerated examples of task lighting that are usually used in residential and commercial structures. Electrician

Task lighting defined

The American Lighting Association has an article on the three basic types of lighting, one of which is task lighting. Build Safe  

“Task lighting helps you perform specific tasks, such as reading, grooming, preparing and cooking food, doing homework, working on hobbies, playing games and balancing your checkbook. It can be provided by recessed and track lighting, pendant lighting and under-cabinet lighting, as well as by portable floor and desk lamps.”

“Targeted to a particular area of a room, task lighting is intended to illuminate a specific function.
